Art Ministry

Wilkesboro WorshipArt Department:

Jill recently brought the worship art department at our church in Wilkesboro back to life in fresh and exciting ways. While there are many aspects to our WorshipArt department, our primary focus has been set on worshiping the Lord through our art on designated Sundays during the month. Everyone is welcome to participate in Sunday WorshipArt at our church. The only requirement is attending a monthly meeting where we gather to pray, fellowship and share ideas. We also have fun times of creativity during these meetings! Our WorshipArt department is made up of artists on all levels, from beginners to professionals. When we gather to worship through art on Sundays we come ready to pray in the Spirit to see what Jesus is trying to show us. We take what we see and/or feel and then we paint, draw or sketch it. Worshiping through art in this way has been an incredible experience for our participating artists, worship team, leadership team and congregation. The art that has been produced during these times of worship has encouraged, confirmed and blessed many people in our church and community. In addition to Sunday WorshipArt Jill also schedules special art workshops on a regular basis where she brings in outside professionals to teach. These workshops have helped many people go to new levels of freedom and creativity, and they've only just begun! Previous workshops include: Drawing and Sketching, Photography, Screen Play Writing, Poetry, Watercolor Painting and Breaking Creative Barriers. Future workshops include: Prophetic Movement, Oil Painting, Acrylic Painting, Jewelry, Mime, Dance, and many more. If you're interested in learning more about our WorshipArt department please contact our church office at 336-921-4007.

Jill's Creative Release Workshops:

These Creative Release Workshops are designed to break down creative barriers. Jill enjoys teaching these workshops because she loves seeing people tap into the living spring of creativity that God has placed in all of His children. The workshops lay a basic foundation for drawing, painting and sketching what we see in the spirit realm while worshiping. Jill also uses Scriptural references to explain why creativity and inspiration are so important to our Father and us. These workshops encourage "coloring outside the lines" to take participants to new levels of creative expression. If you're interested in having Jill teach a Creative Release Workshop, please contact Jill at Jill@LoneStarMinistries.com.
